Big Bag Theory

What a lovely weekend, weather was warm and the sun streamed into my sewing roomMade my Big Bag Theory, a pattern that was shared by my cousin Viki.  I chose to make it in Moda Charm Squares Half Moon, and have to thank Sarah and her Mum (don't know her name) for getting me enough to finish the project.  It's a great bag, and now I have to get some bag feet for it, as I don't want it to sit flat on the ground, so I will get some from Judy when she puts her feet down from the Quilt Show that was on last week.  I need to put velcro on the sides to box it a bit but I don't want to do that until I get the feet on it.  But all in all it was so easy to do and looks great.  Will probably make a few more as gifts.

Also been doing some crocheting, more motifs and another jug cover.  Got the tatting shuttle out the other day and have nearly remembered how to tatt, just got to practice, and yes its like riding a bike.......once taught never forgotten just rusty lol.

Still reading, I either read, sew or crochet/tatt at night now.  Just depends on what my mood is like. I am reading the 3rd book in the Anne of Green Gables saga, and finding it all very interesting.

My eldest son is home on holidays from university, so all weekend we have been drinking tea.  Normally hubby and I drink coffee, but every now and then I love my cup of tea.  I love T2Tea.  No. 2 Son introduced me to it a few years ago, when he brought me strawberries and cream loose leaf tea for Christmas and since then I've been hooked.  He now knows that when he's stuck for a present for me, just go and get me some tea.  Last night I was drinking French Earl Grey....very yummy.   Another favourite at the moment is Madagascan Vanilla.

Well enough from me, happy stitching

  1. I dont drink much tea but when i do, I do like taking the time to sit with a cuppa. So relaxing, and just a few minutes of me time.
i love the bag; the fabrics you used look great. Well done.
