FNWF & SUNDAY SEWING

Well my FNWF didn't happen, unfortunately I had a really bad attack of vertigo in the office Friday afternoon, and still not really sure how I managed to get home (yes I know foolish being behind the wheel) so took medication to stop the nauseousness and promptly went to sleep and woke up when it was time to go to bed.  So thanks to Cheryll for hosting again......maybe next month I'll get to participate.

Feeling better on Saturday afternoon, I decided again that someone would be sewing somewhere in the world, I would sew with them.  This is what I finished

And if it is ok, this is my projects for FNWF, as I had intended to finish these two items on Friday.  This is a Rosalie Qunilan design the bucket and needle case.  I made it in Tilda and linen, and I really enjoyed making this, a very big embroidery and I used Cottage Garden Threads which are a joy to use.

Today I also had another finish with something that was started at the retreat I went to in Katoomba last year, this is a Fig N Berry sewing bag, needle case and pin cushion.  Lisa designed it for our class and it was lovely to make

Now dear readers I have a request for you please, No. #1 Son has a job interview on Friday for his last 6 months at Uni as an AIN in one of the hospitals near uni, please ask whomever you believe in to help him gain this job, he has been unemployed for 5 years, has been at Uni for the past 3 years, took him awhile to find his feet, he is high functioning asperges and this will go along way to helping him gain employment when he has finished his degree.  Thank you for your thoughts.

Well that's enough from me.

OPAM

Sunday saw GDICN (Girls Day in Chipping Norton) for BFF Rhonda and myself, something we do each month, our homework was to get everything ready to put our Red Brolly Angel Apron's together.  All things got going and then a phone call from the alarm company telling me that the alarm was going off at the office, in the car, 20 minutes up the road, check out the office, nothing wrong, rearm the office, lock up the two sets of gates, get 500 m down the road, alarm company rings again, the office didnt rearm, turn the car around, park out the front, thank heavens for my remote armed the office......again, called in to make sure, 20 minutes back to Rhonda's, sit down at the table, take a sip of my drink cause it was hot.....and guess what.....phone goes off again........there is an intrusion in the reception area again!!!!!  Told them not going back will call in on the way home and try to get back to sewing lol....very embarrassing....the intruder was a spider!!! All good again.

Apron I'm the one with the glasses, Anthea is the one closest to the cakes Rhonda is the one on the right of the tea pot.

All I had to finish was put the waist band on and the straps, and finished it tonight.  So thank heavens I got a finish for the month, just been so busy, with Rebecca my secretary having her beautiful baby, and being in the office mostly on my own.  I have done a fair bit of embroidery, just nothing else finished.

Well that's enough from me

ANZAC DAY

This morning was spent with Flyboy at the Dawn Ceremony in Richmond, then breakfast, before he went on to the march in Sydney.  Here he is in his dress uniform proudly wearing his newly acquired Great Grandfathers Medals (refer to post here

This one was taken just before he left.  I told him to make sure he got in a place we could see him.....text message....I'm in the 2nd last row.....a few minutes later.....now the last row of his unit.  As he passed by the camera his eyes moved so we could see him.......Mum is sitting in the loungeroom screaming.....here he is......now we hope he doesnt get into trouble for not having eyes front!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One very proud Mum.

Well thats enough from me

Happy stitching (I have been doing some, will show you over the weekend)

Very late with FNWF

I did do some sewing on Friday night with Friday Night With Friends, and continued along on Saturday and Sunday, I figure someone somewhere is stitching

My project at the moment is Red Brolly's apron, quite a lot of stitchery, but its fun and it keeps me busy whilst watching TV.  Hope you all had a good weekend.

Some Easter Finishes

Spent some time yesterday sewing and had 2 finishes for Easter.

This lovely little hanging is a freebie from Michelle, I enlarged it a bit so I could put it on my hanger, and had great fun sewing it.  Thanks Michelle for sharing it.

My second finish is by Bronwyn from Red Brolly one of her fabulous freebies, this one is from last year, she also has a great Easter Stitchery which I'm making but obviously wont have it finished for this year.  Thanks Bronwyn for your ongoing generosity.

After some housework, shopping and I think we are going to the movies, I have a few more things to finish, which I might squeeze into this months OPAM.

Well that's enough from me
