A FINISH & SNEAK PEAK

Had one finish yesterday, thanks to Sarah. I saw this bag on Instagram and wanted to know what pattern it was, and it was Sarah's own measurements.  She organised a kit for me from her shop and I made it yesterday.  I have made many of these bags in the past in the small size, just never thought about making it bigger.  Just shows I'm not much into design, never mind everyone has their own talents.

This is the back with a great pocket for storing things

The front, I will use it to carry around my tablet.

As I said I have alot of these bags, I usually take them with me on cruises, to carry round my sun glasses, i-pod and whatever I need for the day when I'm on the ship.  Think I will now look at the size and make on for hubby's Kindle.

We have also had a sneak peak from the photographers of wedding pictures, the photographer was Nigel Unsworth.  If you want to see wonderful photography check out his site he takes the most amazing pictures

Anyway that's enough from me

A FINISH AND ONE WEEK CLOSER TO THE WEDDING

I had another finish on the weekend which I was very happy about.  I've had this made for ages, just had to quilt it.  Well I had it half finished and didn't like it so I pulled it all out and started again this time with no hoop.  Really liked the way it finished

Another of Gail Pan's creations, this time Cottage in Bloom, with Lynette Anderson fabric I think from memory.

On Saturday night we had the shower tea, great fun was had with wedding dresses being made from newspaper

This was our creation, fish tail mermaid, huge bouquet, and veil.  The model my little God daughter and her sister in law.

Our lovely Bride to be in a wonderful present all the way from Disneyland, from one of her lovelies  Minnie Mouse Ears and Bridal Veil.  She looked very cute all night

They also had an engagement shoot that turned out to be a pre wedding shoot and I think they look wonderful

That's all from me

LITTLE BITS OF THIS AND THAT

We are in the downward spiral into Flyboy and Our Beautiful Girl's wedding, 2 weeks and 6 days to be exact, bucks day was held yesterday, hen's night was last week, shower tea this coming Saturday, then the wait for the wonderful day.  Thought for awhile I was going to be wearing my jeans and joggers, but thankfully just before Christmas I walked into a shop and there it was just for me.  So yesterday it was at the alteration place so the suit could be altered for the Mr. and the outfit shortened for me.  We both have ducks decease, you know butts to close to the ground.

I have also been sewing with some more finishes

I got this pattern from Facebook, Quiltville  its a freebie that you might like, its huge, will be great on my table next to my arm chair for ease

My drawstring bag that matches my pouch from last week, thank heavens the fabric arrived so I could finish it.

I have finished the front of my Cinderberries Needle Keep, the inside is sitting under the sewing machine foot, I'm quilting it at the moment

My little pin cushion to match the Needle Keep also a Cinderberries pattern and so very cute.

Last but not least, my dresdens from last week's class with Michelle Marvig, I have to applique it onto the background, hopefully I will get to do this next weekend seeing we have a 3 day one.

Tomorrow you will need to head across to Peg's its OPAM sign up.  Are you going to join in the fun this year?  I know I will, it motivates me to finish my projects.

Well that's enough from me

Weekend of wonderful stitching

Had a very busy week last week on the work front, business trip to Canberra on Monday, a week of no hot water, #1 son got his licence on Thursday first go and Flyboy came home from exercises on Saturday morning.  So after the airport trip and a snooze to get over another early morning for the week, I decided to trace off some sewing and had fun.  The tech came in Saturday afternoon and fixed our hot water system, so yippee we had hot water again, I tell you its no fun washing your hair in stone cold water.......seems to take forever to get the conditioner out.

I have been playing with Red Brolly and Bronwyn Hayes this last week and finished off my Chic Mug Rug to go with my Chic Mug Bag which I made last week, I really love Bronwyn's things, she is so generous with her free patterns and tutorials.  I am hanging out to see what she comes up with for this months Girls Own Stitching Club

I've also been playing with Michelle Ridgeway's Alphabet Booklet
and made myself a needle book love it will make some more just playing with it to see how it goes.

Also another Michelle Ridgeway, love it thanks for designing it Michelle :)

I am also nearly finished a bunny pin cushion.  Hopefully will get that done this weekend.  Heading up to see Mum on Saturday, Flyboy is taking me as he's not sure how long he will be home before he heads off again and #1 Son went back to Uni today so all quiet in our house.

Well that's enough from me

Happy Stitching

Secret Santa Swap 2012

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  Ours was spent at Flyboy's house with all the family from both sides, which was good :)

I opened my Secret Santa Swap yesterday morning, and found a very beautiful wall hanging from Anita. Thank you so much Anita for the wall hanging

I am a very lucky girl.
