3 finishes = happy girl

I was lucky to have 3 finishes this week, makes for a happy camper, also doing some secret squirrel stuff can't show you.

First finish is another from my weekend away in Melbourne last year and the mate to my pin cushion called Bunting House by Cinderberry Stitches the sewing pocket Room for Friends.  It is so cute.

My next finish is The Birdhouse True Friends Tote, for Natalies book Red Home.  BFF Rhonda and I stitched the panels and swapped.  Rhonda has had hers made for months, I'm just a bit slower......read that as slack.  I have just been introduced to French General fabric, and I love it .....this is made with that.  I also decided to use lace instead of ric rac which looks a bit different.

My next finish is Rosalie Quinlan's Quilt Giving Bag.   Rhonda and I are heading over to the Barossa in May to do a 2 day workshop at Maggie Beer's Farm with Rosalie Quinlan and Bronwyn Hayes, so we have both made her bag to take with us.

Totally out of my comfort zone with this fabric, I purchased 2 charm packs called Family Tree and some yardage to finish it but didnt realise how much orange was in it.  Mind you I love the finish but not an orange fan.

LITTLE BITS OF THIS AND THAT

We are in the downward spiral into Flyboy and Our Beautiful Girl's wedding, 2 weeks and 6 days to be exact, bucks day was held yesterday, hen's night was last week, shower tea this coming Saturday, then the wait for the wonderful day.  Thought for awhile I was going to be wearing my jeans and joggers, but thankfully just before Christmas I walked into a shop and there it was just for me.  So yesterday it was at the alteration place so the suit could be altered for the Mr. and the outfit shortened for me.  We both have ducks decease, you know butts to close to the ground.

I have also been sewing with some more finishes

I got this pattern from Facebook, Quiltville  its a freebie that you might like, its huge, will be great on my table next to my arm chair for ease

My drawstring bag that matches my pouch from last week, thank heavens the fabric arrived so I could finish it.

I have finished the front of my Cinderberries Needle Keep, the inside is sitting under the sewing machine foot, I'm quilting it at the moment

My little pin cushion to match the Needle Keep also a Cinderberries pattern and so very cute.

Last but not least, my dresdens from last week's class with Michelle Marvig, I have to applique it onto the background, hopefully I will get to do this next weekend seeing we have a 3 day one.

Tomorrow you will need to head across to Peg's its OPAM sign up.  Are you going to join in the fun this year?  I know I will, it motivates me to finish my projects.

Well that's enough from me

SANTA SACK SWAP WHAT I SENT AND OTHER THINGS

Picture stolen from Sharon these are better than mine.  I sent her a bag by Rosalie Quinlan, a Mug Bag (Bronwyn Hayes) Needle book and scissor keep (Michelle Ridgeway), Mug Rug with a stitchery by Michelle, Little bag (Marg Lowe), project folder (Natalie Lymer), christmas wall hanging (Michelle Ridgeway) mug, coffee/teas, chocolates, charm squares, bells and a wodden ornament.  Sharon loves Bonnie and Camille, so I had fun making her projects in Happy Go Lucky fabric for her.
